It is a non-profit organisation founded in 1980 by domestic workers. Its mission is to improve the quality of life of domestic workers in Peru by empowering them through training, job placement, labour rights, social protection and recognition of their contribution to the care economy. Their advocacy work has led them to lobby for the ratification of ILO Convention C189 and the enactment of Law 31047, under which 30 March is considered a paid holiday for domestic workers. They provide care services through their crèches for the care and stimulation of domestic workers' children; they take in the most vulnerable domestic workers, including migrants.
The ANP has been in existence since 1928 and is a trade union for press and media workers: journalists, but also photographers, cartoonists, freelance journalists, etc. It focuses in particular on the right to social protection, solidarity economy and labour law. Its awareness-raising and advocacy actions mainly target young and/or vulnerable workers in this sector.
YCW Peru has existed since 1935 and works to defend the rights of young Peruvian workers.
